Plans the annual Back to School Party at the Children’s Shelter and other projects throughout the year. |

| EDUCATION COMMITTEE (two to three seminars held per year)
Plans and publicizes professional seminars, workshops and other programs and encourages participation |

| FINANCE COMMITTEE (meets quarterly)
Works with the Treasurer to project the annual budget and monitor expenditures |

| GREEN COMMITTEE (meets monthly)
Works to educate our members on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) sustainability, Energy Star and BEEP (BOMA Energy Efficiency Program). |

| LEGISLATIVE/GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE (meets occasionally)
Monitors federal, state and local legislation that impacts our industry. Promotes industry awareness among elected/appointed officials and representatives |

| LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT (meets occasionally)
Develops the slate of officers and directors. Ballots are mailed in November to all voting members. |

| MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE (meets monthly)
Responsible for recruitment of new members. Evaluates new member applications
|

| NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE (meets monthly)
Produces the monthly online newsletter. Discusses article ideas. Coordinates press releases and article submissions. Writing/layout skills not required. |

| PROGRAM COMMITTEE (meets occasionally)
Selects the topics and recruits speakers for our membership meetings |
|
| SOCIAL COMMITTEE (meets occasionally)
Organizes mixers, and selects and produces the entertainment, menu and site for the Christmas Party |

| THE OFFICE BUILDINGS OF THE YEAR (TOBY) COMMITTEE (Judging: February)
Encourages entries, assists participants, selects judges for local competition |

| TRADE SHOW COMMITTEE (meets from October-June. Event: May 14, 2009)
Plans event, selects theme, promotes and sells exhibit space, gathers door prizes, decorates hall, judges booths |
