The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is looking for buildings owners that are interested in having their buildings tested for air tightness. ASHRAE needs participants in their research project, "Measuring Air-Tightness of Mid and High-Rise Non-Residential Buildings." 24-36 buildings need to be tested for whole building air tightness over the next two years. The project is not necessarily targeting air tight buildings. ASHRAE is also interested in buildings with a continuous air barrier design. Buildings must be:
Testing would take 2 days. One day of building preparation and one day of testing and restoration to prior condition. This can be on a weekend, if necessary. The building should be unoccupied during testing. NO COST TO OWNER, except providing access help to all spaces including mechanical equipment.
