Learn how to insure the issues facing Texas BOMA members are heard at the State Capitol. Attendees will receive packets with valuable information on the "how-to's" of lobbying as well as briefing by Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell on what pending legislation will affect our industry this year.

3. Calling all SABOMA/SAABE Exhibitors
The Annual Trade Show Booth/Table Registration is now open...
Mark your calendars for the 2009 SABOMA/SAABE Annual Trade that will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 4-8pm at the Norris Conference Center.
The theme this year is "Around the World in 80 days" and provides plenty of creative ideas. This event is a sell out every time and one not to miss!

4. TDLR Elevator/Escalator Safety
Waiver Deadline approaching
September 1st, 2010 is the deadline to file for a waiver delay for full compliance regarding elevators/escalators safety by TDLR. Contact your Elevator Vendor/QEI for any waiver delays that may have been overlooked since granted.
According to Charlie Mikolajczyk of President of SAABE, there is really not an easy means to self-check your building for any skeletons. You may check the TDLR Elevator Search by clicking here. The process is painfully slow even with high-speed connections, mostly inoperative. By law, any delay, waiver, or current Elevator Inspection Report should be posted in the elevator machine room.
