1. SABOMA New Year resolution... BE ACTIVE and JOIN a committee today! The 2009 committee chairpersons are now scheduling kick-off meetings and need volunteers on the 15+ committees. We value all of our members commitment to SABOMA and the time invested. Please take the time to volunteer for at least one committee in 2009. NOT SURE which one, click here to view the committee descriptions and the committee chairperson(s) information. If you need MORE information, call or email the chairperson(s) about their committee. The Committee Assignment Questionnaire is on the home page or just click here to complete. SABOMA is only as strong as its member participation. The committee volunteer pledge: "SABOMA is my association. Without my active participation, it will not be here when I need it. Therefore, I need it as bad as it needs me. My profession is not a spectator sport!"
2. RPA Course Budgeting & Accounting Registration is now open. The RPA Budgeting & Accounting course will begin Thursday, February 12th and will be held at the Catholic Life Building-2nd floor conference room from 5:30-7:30. Gail Stewart will be the instructor. The test is tentatively scheduled for May 28th. Course registration fee is $575 for BOMA members and $700 for nonmembers. If this is your first course, you'll need to enroll in a designation track, which means you will owe a one-time enrollment fee of $175 in addition to the course registration fee. Remember, if your employer is a member and does not pay for the courses, you can apply for the SABOMA scholarship. Email Eva Gonzales at staff@saboma.org.
3. Only one week left... To nominate property manager of the year! The deadline for the 2008 Manager of the Year nominations is Friday, January 16th. Click here to complete the form. Please give careful consideration to your nominee selection as the Nominee must have had the following qualifications for the last twelve months:
4. SABOMA welcomes a new Administrative Assistant SABOMA has hired Eva Gonzales as the new administrative assistant. Eva is not new to the SABOMA family as she worked for Griffin Partners with Eileen Kondoff for 5 years. She can be reached at staff@saboma.org.
