1. BOMA Open Golf Tournament is in full SWING!!! Register Now and Win! Sponsorships Still Available! BOMA OPEN HAS A GIMME! At the August Luncheon, August 27th, a Hyatt Hill Country foursomeround of golf, valued at $580, will be given away! To be eligible for this giveaway, your team registration form and payment must be received by the SABOMA Office by Tuesday, August 26th. You can email your registration form to staff@saboma.org or fax to (210) 822-4490. You can make your payment online or bring by your check to the SABOMA offices in the Catholic Life Building located at 1635 NE Loop 410, Suite 600 to meet the deadline! Each person listed on the paid golf registration form will be eligible for the giveaway. There are still several sponsorship levels available. Sponsorships are not just for SABOMA members. You can help by asking your non-BOMA vendors to support the Texas Burn Survivors Society by sponsoring this event. 2. 2009 SABOMA Dues Schedule Important Budget Information Due to increases from BOMA International and Texas BOMA, San Antonio BOMA dues will increase $20 in 2009. Please see the 2009 membership rate schedule below: Regular Principal Membership Dues $700 Regular Associate Membership Dues $475 Allied Principal Membership Dues $800 Allied Associate Membership Dues $600 The prepaid luncheon amount for 2009 is $200. This breaks down to $22.22 a luncheon. This does not include the April Joint Luncheon and we do not have a luncheon in October due to the BOMA Open or a luncheon in December due to the Holiday Party. Pre-paying for your luncheons is a great way to save money. The luncheon rate is currently $25 if paid on line or at the door and $30 if billed. We hope this information helps you with you budget planning for 2009.
3. BOMA Interational & SW Conference Information Important Budget Information We recently contacted BOMA International and Texas BOMA to obtain information on registration costs for 2009 conferences. While they were unable to give us exact amounts, they did provide us with estimated amounts. We hope that this information will helpful with your budgeting process. 4. City Of San Antonio Electrical Supervisory Board Public Hearing September 9, 2008 PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE CONCERNING PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE 2008 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (NEC) AND THE TECHNICAL CODE PROVISIONS/AMENDMENT S TO CHAPTER 10 OF THE CITY CODE. This is an official notice that the Electrical Supervisory Board is conducting a public hearing on September 9, 2008 at its regularly scheduled board meeting. The public hearing will allow citizens to comment on the proposed adoption of these electrical codes and provisions. The meeting will be held in the Board Room on the 1st Floor of the Development and Business Center located at 1901 S. Alamo. The Board's final draft of proposed technical code provisions/amendments can be found by visiting the electrical home page of our website and clicking on the current news tab (see direct link below) or by picking up a hard copy at our Development and Planning Services Building located at 1901 S. 5. Management Workshop - The Threat From Within and Without Presented by SAHRMA The Threat From Within and Without: Defusing the Threat of Violence from the Disgruntled Employee, Domestic Partner, Armed Robber or Active Shooter Seminar is being presented by the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association. This 3 hour workshop is designed for all supervisors and managers, especially those involved with HR, security, training, building managers, owners and safety.
