1. SABOMA Community Service Committee Project
Make Your Contribution Today!

The San Antonio BOMA Community Service Committee needs your help in making a difference in the lives of the many children in our community that are hospitalized everyday. Often these children have to stay in the hospital for many days, some even stay for weeks and months.

These children can feel isolated from the outside world and may not be participating in everyday activities because they are fighting to get better. The Pediatric Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Intensive Care, Surgical and General Medicine units need our help to proved each hospital room, and patient play areas with equipment, which can be therapeutic and bring comfort, fun and distraction to a child during their stay at the hospital.

Methodist Children's Hospital Fundraiser

April 15th - May 20th

Your contribution will help purchase tons of fun for the kids with Wii Systems, handheld games and accessories for all pediatric inpatient units. Please make checks payable to SABOMA. You can deliver or mail your check to the SABOMA office located at 1635 NE Loop 410, Suite 600 San Antonio, TX 78209. If you have any questions, please call the office at (210) 822-4499.

6. PJ O'Toole Update
Message from Laura

Good evening all. Just thought I would update you on how our little guy is doing. We went in to the hospital two weeks ago this Sunday..... And we are still there. P.J.'s white blood cells have been very low and are just now starting to come in. Now that the wbc's are coming in we have to pray that no infection sets in during the recovery period. As always he has an incredible attitude and never complains that he can't even leave the hospital room. We are hoping that his counts continue to come in and that he will be coming home sometime next week. (I want him home, but I think Jacob misses him the most) After this we just have one round left and one recovery..... which is expected to be just as difficult. No one said this road would be easy, but we'll get there and he will be stronger for it. I know in my heart that he WILL be a cancer survivor!!!!!

Please continue to keep him in your prayers.......

Laura
