There is a CoSA Electrical Board meeting planned for this Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 at the CoSA Development Services Building located at 1901 South Alamo. Please note directions below.

There will be a Chapter 10 Review Committee Meeting at 8:30 AM, followed by a Board meeting at 9:30 AM.

The CoSA EE&SB plan to make a final vote on the proposed changes to Chapter 10 of the CoSA Electrical Code. These changes if unopposed, will affect the Electrical Maintenance Technicians in that the continuing education requirements will now be the same as that of a Journeyman, or a Master electrician. Additionally, there are no means for a Maintenance Technician to advance his or herself to a higher level who is employed in the office/retail industry.

SABOMA members are encouraged to attend this meeting so that the presentations to the CoSA EE&SB are supported by a substantial number of building professionals in attendance.

SABOMA members have been working very hard to oppose these changes; your support is greatly appreciated.

Directions: Take I-H 35 South past Durango Street to the South Alamo exit; turn left on S. Alamo and the building is on the left past the rail road tracks.
