4. Did you know? A recent inquiry to the CoSA Chief Plumbing Inspector revealed that waterless urinals are not approved for use in San Antonio per the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). It is recommended that property managers be sure to indicate this as a non-compliance issue/deferred maintenance on due diligence inspections if you happen to come across this type of installation.
5. Passage of TRIA Extension A law extending the Terrorism Risk Insurance Revision Extension Act (TRIA) for seven years was signed by President Bush, ensuring insurance coverage for both foreign and domestic acts of terrorism, and retaining the $100 million "trigger level" for damages at which point federal assistance kicks in. The law also establishes a blue ribbon commission tasked with recommending a long-term private market solution. "TRIA reauthorization will strengthen the economic security of the commercial real estate market by reducing the uncertainty of terrorism coverage availability and by covering many forms of terrorist activity," said Richard Gaylord, president of the National Association of Realtors.
6. P.J. O'Toole Update a note from Laura Hello everyone! P.J. will complete round two late tonight (Friday) and will be headed home tomorrow morning! He is doing incredibly well, and has not been sick at all this week. His counts will continue to go down so infection is a huge concern, but as for his tolerating the chemo...... he is wonderful!!! He will be at the doctor three times a week until his counts recover, and that is when we start round three. Going back for treatments is hard, but his absolutely amazing attitude helps both Pat and me to get through them a little easier. I am ready to get him home tomorrow, and you can imagine how excited Jacob is to have him home again too. This past week has been very sad in the oncology unit at the hospital. There have been several children diagnosed with different types of cancer and one very precious child lost his battle with it. I know that it is easy to pray for the people you know, and we know that prayers from all of our incredible friends and family will play a huge part in the healing of OUR baby...so please place these other sick children in your prayers and just maybe they will fell the blessings as much as we do. And please pray for the family who lost their son. I thank God every day for the Children's Hospital, yet I hate the fact that it even has to exist. For now I will go..... I've got to get cleaning so my little fighter comes home to a "super clean" house. Please continue to pray for a cure and pray that our doctor continues to have the knowledge to get us there. Laura
