TO: all members of SABOMA FROM: Lynn Forester (830) 981-5223
1. The next BEEP seminar (BOMA Energy Efficiency Program) is set for this Friday. CPS Energy has graciously offered to host "Valuing Energy Enhancement Projects and Financial Returns" at no charge to attendees. It will be held on 10/13 at the Northside Customer Service Center located at 7000 San Pedro. Sandwiches, chips, soft drinks, water, and cookies will be served at 12:30pm. The seminar runs from 1-3pm. If you would like to attend, please email JMAranda@cpsenergy.com and MAlexander@CPSEnergy.com immediately. 2. Mayor Hardberger has initiated a policy for the City to lower its flags to half staff on the day a San Antonio soldier who has died in the line of duty in the war against terror is buried. Judge Wolff has agreed to do the same for all County buildings. The Mayor has asked for the support of the private sector with regard to similarly lowering to half staff the flags on non-public buildings. Friday, October 13, will mark the funeral of SSG Joe A. Narvaez, who was killed last week in Iraq. SABOMA fully supports the Mayor's leadership on this thoughtful and compassionate gesture, and urges all of our members to join the City and the County in flying flags at half staff on Friday, October 13th. 3. Golf update: there are 3 single positions open, and we can still add a couple of full teams (6 players). The tournament is tomorrow!!!
