SABOMA MEMBERS MAKING A DIFFERENCE
VOTE, VOTE, VOTE

They say in real estate there are only three things that matter: location, location, location. As citizens of the United States the three most important duties are our right and privilege to vote, vote, and vote.
Vote in school board elections, zoning issues for your neighborhood, local elections, state elections and national elections. Every one of these important elections has an impact on you, your family and our real estate profession.
At every level of government, real estate is affected.
Most recently we have all been faced with the economic crisis and BOMA International has been leading the way for all in our industry to voice their opinion to Senators and Representatives concerning the critical Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
In addition to the financial rescue plan, the Act included BOMA legislative priorities, concerning depreciation of leasehold improvements and tax deductions for energy efficient commercial buildings.
Especially this year, there are so many topics of concern, the economy, health care, terrorism, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the threats from nations like Iran and Pakistan, education, taxes, energy initiatives and the list goes on and on. With the national election in less than one month, please be informed and be ready to cast your ballot for whichever candidates you feel are most qualified to lead this nation.
Forget the media shows. Study the candidates and their positions on issues that affect real estate and other topics that are important to you and your family.
