If you’ve been affiliated with San Antonio BOMA for any length of time, you know Bob Cherniss. He’s the ultimate ambassador for our association and has an uncanny ability to juggle multiple committee activities with ease. What you may not realize is that he has been a member of our association for over thirty years. With his high level of involvement, Bob has received lots of recognition awards, multiple times.

But the length and extent of his dedication to SABOMA is so extraordinary, the Board of Directors felt more was needed, and brainstormed until they came upon the idea of renaming our annual Achievement Award after him. It will henceforth be known as The Bob Cherniss Achievement Award, and we surprised him with the news at our September luncheon. His wife Patty was on hand for the occasion and had the rare opportunity to see him speechless!

Every officer or committee chair who has had the opportunity to work with Bob has greatly benefited from his years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He has even been on “both sides of the fence,” participating over the years as both a Regular and an Allied Member. We are exceptionally fortunate to have a member like Bob, and honored he has chosen to remain an integral part of San Antonio BOMA for over three decades.
