SABOMA Honors Members
The February membership luncheon featured the presentation of several special awards given by our association each year. Please join us in congratulating these very deserving members!
We’d also like to express our appreciation to the Awards Committee for time spent in evaluating the honorees: Eileen Kondoff, Tomi Sue Beecham, Kelly DeFonte’, Katy Hines, David Sunderland, Joi Taylor and Brenda Younts.

 | The Richard C. Singer Award for Building Manager of the Year recognizes a first-class manager who has a thorough understanding of all issues affecting their property and runs a top notch operation. This year we had three outstanding nominees: Sally Flanagan of Koontz McCombs Realty, Yolanda Herrera of Kennedy Wilson, and Susan Lillibridge, CPM of Parthenon Realty. After a thorough review of all nominees, including personal interviews and site inspections, Sally Flanagan was selected as our newest Manager of the Year. One of her tenants states, "Sally has done a tremendous job keeping this aging facility in outstanding condition while keeping operating expense costs down." Sally truly exemplifies the pinnacle of professionalism and we are proud to have her as a member.
An Achievement Award for outstanding personal dedication to San Antonio BOMA was presented to Joi Taylor of Rector Management. Committees are our organization’s backbone, and Joi is one of our most dedicated volunteers. Co-chairing not one, but two committees last year certainly kept her busy, and she still found time to serve on the BOMA OPEN committee. With all these responsibilities, her dependability never faltered. Joi’s contributions to our education program and legislative activities ensured their respective successes, and her level of commitment is simply awe-inspiring.
CORT Furniture was awarded the President’s Award for outstanding Allied Member company. Whether it’s advertising, sponsorship or other financial contributions to our organization, Robb McDowall and CORT Furniture are always right there to support San Antonio BOMA activities. Active Allied Members are vital to our success and we are honored by the mutually beneficial trust and partnership we have forged with CORT Furniture.
