The February membership luncheon featured the presentation of several special awards given by our association each year. Please join us in congratulating these very deserving members:

The Richard C. Singer Award for Building Manager of the Year recognizes a first-class manager who has a thorough understanding of all issues affecting their property and runs a top notch operation. This year we had four outstanding nominees: Gene Bartosh of Travis Commercial Real Estate, Tomi Sue Beecham of AVR Realty, Edna Geckler of Trammell Crow Company, and Diane Towery of USAA Realty Company. After a thorough review of all nominees, including personal interviews and site inspections, Tomi Sue Beecham was selected as our newest Manager of the Year. One of her tenants states, "Tomi Sue is wonderful. She is a good businesswoman, runs a tight ship and really has it together." We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Tomi Sue exemplifies the pinnacle of professionalism and we are proud to have her as a member.

Achievement Awards for outstanding contributions to San Antonio BOMA were presented to Richard Alexander of ABM Janitorial Services and Diane Towery of USAA Realty Company. Committees are our organization’s backbone, and Richard and Diane were two of our most dedicated volunteers last year. Diane’s work with the growing Community Service Committee took tremendous dedication and many hours of effort, and Richard was the driving force behind their successful charity garage sale. It’s not easy picking one or two members for this award each year, but these two rose right to the top.

There are still a couple of local awards to be announced; they will be presented at the March luncheon.
