BOMI Graduates Honored
Nothing moves a career forward like the power of knowledge. We are proud to
recognize three members who have completed a milestone in their professional
education: a designation from BOMI Institute. You may have seen the letters
RPA or FMA after a property manager's name and wondered what that means. RPA
stands for Real Property Administrator and FMA stands for Facilities
Management Administrator. They both stand for years of study and it's a huge
accomplishment to finish, not unlike a college degree.
The RPA and FMA programs require seven semester-length courses and an ethics
shortcourse. If all the classes are taken one right after the other, it
takes about two and a half years to complete a designation program.
Be sure to congratulate our newest designees when you see them!
